About

Hello!
The Good news that God loves us and wishes us well has been around for a long time. Long enough for it to be infused with unnecessary complexity and confusion and thus making it less than it should be to us. Some outside the Christian church, looking in, see it as a mass of information too contradictory to commend itself. Others on the inside know that there is something there, but they too are often in a state of confusion mitigated only by faith and perhaps hope. I want to help strip away the confusion and promote a return to the simple message that God has for us.
I was born into a particular Christian denomination which I now see has so many problematic beliefs that their presentations often fill me with dismay. Out of respect I intend not to name the denomination, but I do not doubt that its identity may well be guessed by some of the things that I intend to write about. One might look upon this as an example of “by their fruits you will know them.” In this case the “fruits” are the denomination’s doctrines.   Other topics that I write will be more general; pertaining to what is considered Christian orthodoxy.
Others before me have left the denomination I grew up in, denounced it, then moved as far away from all its doctrines as they could. This is not my plan. I was nurtured and supported by my denomination, it is made up of many whom I love and respect. I believe that many of their doctrines are sound. However, as I have matured as a follower of God, I have realised that some changes need to be made. This has proved difficult from within the organisation, so I am hoping that this Blog will provide a forum for change.
